PITCH DARK – two sides of tape decay & drone rot, the former a sax-addled murk w/the fog of unease seeping overhead; the latter a depression fallout, wayward gtr vision stretched across industrial starlight…
"[...] Pitch Dark marries a sort of crude Midwestern basement noise aesthetic with a more austere, high-minded approach to minimalist composition, something along the lines of, say, Sick Llama meets Thomas Köner. Reportedly recorded in a library basement, there’s a decidedly airy, perhaps slightly mildew-tainted, room sound at play. Side A mixes this with various saxophone blurts and moans, while the flip features more prominent low-level sculpted guitar feedback. This release is subtitled DECOMPOSITION concréte, and we couldn’t agree more."
